Rainbow Schools charity now offers online advice to parents of children with special educational needs. We have parents who have been through what you may be going through now and offer genuine, practical advice.

We continue to build a team of volunteer professionals, such as, occupational, speech, cranial and music therapists along with special needs teachers with years of experience.

If you simply want to talk about the social and emotional impacts or have an educational or developmental worry, then we may be able to help.

All advice is free of charge.

The following are areas where we may be able to advise:

Downs Syndrome,    Autism Spectrum Disorder or ASD,    Cerebral Palsy,    Sensory Processing Disorder,

Dyslexia,       Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD

Much of our work focuses on the development of the CORE senses, i.e.  Touch, Proprioception and Vestibular as research has shown that these senses provide the building blocks for further physical and cognitive development.

We will endeavour to empower you, the parent, to be informed through relevant reading or visual materials that we will either provide or point you to, so that you feel more confident in interacting with your child and to be able to make informed choices with your child’s school and other professionals that may be helping your child.

We ask you to tell us the condition of your child, age and how we can help in the form of a question you may wish to ask.

We will then put you in touch with a suitable parent or professional who will do everything that they can to help you or connect you with some that can.

All information that you give will be confidential and Rainbow Schools is committed to ensuring protection of all personal information that we hold, We recognise our obligations in updating and expanding our practices to meet the requirements of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
